Keep these
Full name and address, the relationship, events that will matter again, one speech habit, topics that stay closed.
One fact per line. Subject is the character’s name or “user”. Split long backstory. What is read first gets used first.
Do not store every line
Tonight’s weather, a joke just told, dialogue that will still be in the next chapter: leave those in the chapter. The library is for facts that must survive the chapter.
Two contradictory lines cancel each other. When you change a fact, delete the old line.
It can still miss
The library is sent with generation. The model can still drop earlier text, change voice, or add a sentence you did not ask for. Check in the app.
Rewrite that chapter, or add the missing fact and continue. Shouting it once in chat does not make the next chapter keep it.
